About

My name is Helen Matthews and I am a disabled photographer living in Cambridgeshire.

I was introduced to photography about 5 years ago through Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force when I started doing public relations and web design for them. I have just staring to get back in to drawing, art and design. I am a member of The Royal Photographic Society and The Disabled Photographers’ Society.

Most of my photography has been for the Army Cadet Force although I have done other military and non-military work. Some of my work has been published in magazines, with a front cover and three-page spread of photo’s I took for the Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team, ‘The Flying Gunners’. In the future I hope to specialize in maybe one or two genres but in the mean time I will continue to try different styles.

I am very new to design work but experimenting with hand drawn and Photoshop mediums. I have only done personal projects to date, with time and experience I hope to be able to do projects for other people or organizations.
